Ratings & Reviews
As a small home service business owner, you know how important it is to build trust with your customers. In today's digital age, customer reviews are no longer just nice-to-haves - they're essential for attracting new customers and ensuring technician accountability.
A vast majority of people, (approximately 71%), check online reviews before hiring a service business. In fact, more than 7 in 10 consumers claim to "always" or "regularly" read online reviews when seeking out local businesses.
Here's the good news: collecting customer reviews has never been easier! Kickserv now includes a seamless ratings feature in all Business & Premium Plans. This means you can collect feedback directly from your customers within our application, helping you improve your service quality and reputation.
To get started:
Log in to your Kickserv dashboard and navigate to Settings/Integrations
Select Ratings and Reviews
Note: Ratings & Reviews integration is included in all Business and Premium plans
Click on Get Started and fill out your business information, including:
- Business profile name
- Phone
- Complete business address (don't forget to include your Google-verified business ID if you have one!)
Click the Sign Up button
Once set up, you'll be able to send review requests after each job is marked complete. This helps keep your customers engaged and provides valuable feedback for continuous improvement.
If you have a Google validated business ID, make sure to list that address in the Business name and address box. Click here to find out how to validate your business on Google.
Reviews play a significant role in local search engine rankings. By collecting high-quality reviews, your business becomes more visible in search results, increasing the chances of attracting new customers.
Sending Review Requests
Mark a job as complete
Click on Request a review
Select Send Review Request
The email will be personalized with your company logo and company name, (i.e. Kickserv Handyman Service).
Regardless of what which option they select, they will be re-directed to another page, where they can rate their satisfaction with their overall experience.
If they choose to be happy, they'll have the option to leave a review on Google. If your business has a verified Google Business ID, the review will be added to your Google Reviews.
If they click on one of the other selections, they can either leave a review on Google or leave an internal review in Kickserv so that you can follow-up and determine why they were not completely satisfied with the service they received.
If they click on Leave a review, they can leave an internal review that will not be visible to the public.
Once they click Submit, they will see a comment box where they can type in their feedback.
Viewing Reviews & Responding to Feedback
Access all reviews from the Reviews widget on your Dashboard. You can also view full reports and details by clicking View Full Report.
By responding promptly to both positive and negative reviews, you demonstrate accountability and commitment to customer satisfaction. This leads to increased loyalty and repeat business - even when things don't go exactly as planned!
