The Mobile Calendar

Full Week Schedule on Home Screen

The home page now displays a comprehensive week-long schedule, allowing you to view and scroll through events from Sunday to Saturday. This enhancement provides a broader overview of your upcoming tasks without the need to navigate to the full calendar view.

Improved Calendar Navigation

Tapping on any date in the weekly view now seamlessly opens the full calendar for that specific day. This intuitive navigation maintains existing functionality, such as swiping right to mark events complete and left to notify customers.

Advanced Custom Filters

We've expanded our custom filter capabilities to give you more control over your calendar view:

  • Create, edit, and save custom filters for specific employees or event types
  • Assign colors to custom filters for quick visual identification
  • Add descriptions to filters for easy reference (visible when editing)
  • Streamline your filter list by editing or removing existing filters

Role-Based Calendar Views

We've optimized the calendar view experience based on user roles:

  • Admins can view all employees' events and access comprehensive filtering options
  • Technicians see their own scheduled tasks with a more focused view

The update is live in the iOS store and will be available in the Android store very soon.

Our latest tool has come to the mobile Kickserv experience: a mobile calendar! You will need to update to the latest version to see it in your app.

On the default screen, you’ll see a ‘Calendar’ button in the upper right corner of the screen.

Tapping this will take you to the Calendar. You’ll notice different shades on various days. This represents a Heat Map of how many tasks are scheduled on any given day in the month. Darker means busier and lighter means, well, lighter.

You’ll find a filter menu under the Calendar itself. Tapping it will bring up our various task types you can filter by. Each filter has its own color so you can quickly see how crowded any single day is. To close the filter menu, you can tap the Home button or the Save button. The search bar at the top of the calendar will also help you isolate specific tasks, jobs or clients you’re looking for.

To return to the default schedule screen, you use the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. Alternatively, you can tap on a specific day on the calendar to jump to that day and see all scheduled tasks.

You can also create custom filters to tailor your view exactly how you need it.

In addition to the existing options (all activities, reminders, estimates, and jobs), you can filter by specific types of activities and select individual employees. This means you can easily visualize when certain team members have particular tasks scheduled, such as estimates, right from the monthly overview.

The week view allows you to navigate through each day of the week, displaying all scheduled events and their current status.

At a glance, you can see which jobs are in progress, on hold, or in any other state, all from the top level.
