As the Account Owner, Kickserv allows you to run a full account export. When you perform it, an email with all the data is sent to the email address listed for the owner, or you can also choose to connect to Dropbox.
What you get from the export is a .zip file of 28 files. Each one of these is a database table not so user-friendly because they were designed to be read by a web interface; also, this data is not formatted to be imported into another system. In conclusion, this is not a reliable backup option.
So, if now you're wondering what is the use of the full account export then? The answer is that this function is basically a common courtesy among software solutions. But, if you want to export data from your account in a simpler way and get more user-friendly results, the solution is using our reporting and better yet our "Custom Reporting".
Regarding backups, you don't have to be worried about losing any of your data. We keep everything backed up in secured servers, one on the Atlantic Coast and another one closer to the Pacific Coast, and the backups are being run every 5 to 10 minutes. These backups are thought of in case of a very unlikely catastrophic server issue or the entire internet network goes down for an extended period of time.
This latter issue is more likely given all the crazy weather we have nowadays. This could be a communication problem with the network which in this case we recommend having your daily schedule and customer contact data printed out nightly.
