The Resources calendar page can be seen as another calendar view with the main purpose of giving a quick look at which technician is doing what type of job and at what time. It gives you the opportunity to drag the events and re-assign them to a different tech or to another date, amongst other pretty useful features.
To get to the Resources page go to the Planner tab Resources
On the left side of the calendar, you will find the employees and next to them, in their own row, their assigned events.

All the events you already created will appear in this calendar. You have the same options as if you were in another calendar view. It is possible to:
-
Create a new event (work, estimate, reminder, or time-off) just by double-clicking in any part of the calendar. The next table explains the coding for each event.
Event |
Coding in the calendar |
Work |
It will appear in the color you already chose while creating a service |
Estimate |
It will appear in the color you already chose while creating a service |
Reminder |
It will appear in the color grey and with a thumbtack icon |
Time-off |
It will appear in the color grey and with a plane icon |
-
Drag and drop any event to change the technician who will perform it.
-
Re-size the time spam of the event by clicking, holding, or dragging either end of the event to the left or right to provide a greater time range.
-
Edit, delete, or mark any event as completed just by clicking on it.
-
Apply filters at the top of the screen to visualize certain events, services, statuses, or tags.
-
Visualize the calendar by day or week and select the time span you desire.
-
Change calendar settings in the upper right of the screen to show an expanded hour view of the events, lock the header when scrolling, confirm when dragging an event, and set up a Google Calendar sync.
At the bottom of the calendar, there's a row for unassigned events that haven't been assigned to a technician yet. This is useful if you want to create all the events first and drag and assign them after.
